St. Mary's County Government's (SMCG) Citizens Academy provides participants with the opportunity to learn more about county government programs and services. The academy includes 8 weeks of classes over a 10 week period. Week 7 offers optional attendance (in-person or virtual) to the Commissioner's quarterly public forum.
The 2023 session will be held from September 5 – November 7, on Tuesday evenings from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. There will be no class/session on Tuesday, October 31. Participants are required to attend at minimum 7 of the 8 required class sessions.
