2024 Project Graduation Alcohol, Drug, Tobacco, and Vape-Free Party Contract

Project Graduation occurs on graduation night at the MWR facilities on Naval Air Station Patuxent River including the Drill Hall, Center Stage Theater, Bowling Alley, and athletic fields. By filling in the form below, my parent/guardian and I agree to abide by the following rules:

1. I will not use or possess alcohol, drugs, tobacco, or vapes before or during the party.
2. If I am not permitted to participate in school activities, I cannot attend Project Graduation.
3. Graduates may take 1 guest. Guests must be at least high-school aged but no older than 20. All current high school guests are expected to attend class the next morning if their school is in session.
4. Graduates and guests must check in together at their school and bring identification.
5. I will take the bus to and from the party. Check-in starts at school at 8:00 pm and runs until 9:30 PM.
6. If I am injured at the event, the school administrator and EMTs will decide whether I am transported by ambulance, regardless of my age.
7. There are two departure times: 2:30 AM and 4:00 AM. Buses return attendees to their high school.
8. No one is allowed to come or go except by bus. Parents/guardians cannot pick their child up from the party.
9. Chaperones include State’s Attorneys and SAO staff, law enforcement officers, county employees, educators, and EMTs.
10. I will not hold the U.S. Navy, U.S. Government, St. Mary’s County Government, the State’s Attorney’s Office, or Morale, Welfare, and Recreation “MWR” Department responsible in the event of accident or injury. I assume full responsibility for my well-being and safety of myself while at Project Graduation.
11. I grant MWR and the State’s Attorney’s Office permission to videotape and/or photograph me during the event and authorize them to place photos/videos in the Tester, any MWR publication, or other Project Graduation publication.
12. I have my parent/guardian’s permission to attend and provided their contact number, regardless of my age.
13. If my graduate/guest violates the rules, I, the parent/guardian, will pick up my graduate/guest.
14. Any issues not covered above are within the sole discretion of the State’s Attorney Office personnel.
15. I understand that any criminal violations will be handled by Naval Air Station Patuxent River Law Enforcement Officials and may result in federal charges.
